@Bacria Andrei Catalin: I believe that Ruslik is indicating that wherever you have your nomination is that it is not clearly visible to your community for voting. Usually if your community has one page for nominations, and individual nominations are on subpages, they are transcluded onto the main nomination page. The reason why I request here is because our three bureaucrats are inactive. The voting stared 2 months ago (27 August 2015), and if a Steward dont take action, this will take months until a bureaucrat return in sq.wikipedia. According to the global policy on inactivity (see Admin activity review), which applies when there is no local policy, Inactivity -- is defined as zero edits and zero administrative actions on the wiki in two years.
For user Str4nd on fi.wikisource, he has made his last edit in June 2010 and last log action 6 November 2013. Both are over 2 years old. Str4nd is completely inactive as an administrator and as a user, and his sysop status should be removed. --Pxos (talk) 14:08, 18 November 2015 (UTC)

Not done. The Admin activity review is a process that is done systematically. This permits for instance having the assurance that the user has been notified and given time to reply. Well, it doesn't seem to work according to policy. When str4nd was reviewed back in 2013, he didn't inform the community at all, but made instead a pro forma action (by deleting an empty category). The community could not discuss the matter according to policy. I have now contacted the user on fi-wikisource and I am waiting for his response. If he decides to make another single log action, do you say that this guarantees his sysop status for the next 2 years? It's against the AAR policy, isn't it? The policy states that the local community should decide whether an inactive sysop can keep his rights after two years of inactivity. --Pxos (talk) 14:52, 18 November 2015 (UTC)

Then do so. Make a local policy or hold a local vote on the particular user's rights. His activity will next be reviewed by our process in a month or so here when I set up AAR 2015 (assuming nobody has done it before then). Ajraddatz (talk) 18:13, 18 November 2015 (UTC)

This is not the correct place but still I want to write my question again: The AAR policy tells me that when a sysop is detected, who has been inactive for two months, the sysop himself must notify the community and the community then will decide the matter. Now it seems that if the sysop fails to do that but instead makes a pro forma action every two years, this trumps the community every time. We have just few users on az.wikibooks and our admin was globally banned 2 months ago. So I need admin flag till we elect new admin. I need it for technical issues and to delete this and some other broken pages which were renamed by Phabricator team to make it easy to find and delete them. I am a sysop in az.wikipedia since 2009. Abuse of power by a Commons administrator

@steward I was blocked on Wikimedia Commons earlier today by Commons:User:Christian Ferrer (CF). I have no means of appealing this block through channels on Commons, so I am posting my request here. I request that

• this block be lifted
• CF be warned for abusing of his powers on grounds that he was too closely involved in the situation to act impartially
• CF be warned that he wrongly accused me of vandalism.

The sequence of events involving CF were that as part of a dispute he accused me of having made https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Commons%3AValued_image_criteria&type=revision&diff=148687569&oldid=137537633 this] amendment to the VI criteria without consulting the community. (The amendment was made nine months ago). He undid the amendment. When I pointed out that I had consulted the community three days earlier and that nobody had responded he accused me of vandalism and blocked me. All the changes that I made were done in absolute good faith with absolutely no hint of vandalism. Since he was closely involved in the original argument, I submit that he abused his power by blocking me. I find this type of behaviour unbefitting for anybody, let alone an administrator.

Will you please also advise CF that if he behaves in this manner in the future (or has behaved in this way in the past), he could lose is administrator privileges. Martinvl (talk) 21:20, 26 November 2015 (UTC)

Not for stewards' attention. If you feel that your block is not appropriate, you can appeal it by writting at the bottom of your Commons talk page {{unblock|1=Blurbl blah --~~~~}} being "blurbl blah" the reasons that make you think that the block is wrong, etc. A Commons administrator different from the one that blocked you will review the block.
