2024 BYD Atto 3 teased ahead of launch: To get new features along with an affordable variant

BYD India has teased the updated BYD Atto 3 electric SUV which will be launched in the Indian market on 10 July 2024. As per our dealer sources, the 2024 will get minor cosmetic changes, a new colour option, and additional features along with a new affordable variant with a smaller battery pack.

First, let’s talk about the more affordable version, it’s expected to get a 50kWh battery pack with a claimed range of up to 430 km.For reference, the Atto 3 is offered only with a 60.48kWh paired with an electric motor which puts out 204hp and 310Nm of torque and it has a claimed range of 521 km. The entry-level variant is expected to get the same electric motor but with a lesser output.

With the introduction of a more affordable variant, the BYD Atto 3 will directly compete with the top-of-the-line variants of the MG ZS EV priced at Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom). The ZS EV is powered by a 50.3kWh battery pack with a 461km claimed range. For reference, the BYD Atto 3 with a 60.48 kWh battery pack is priced at Rs 33.99 lakh, with the new entry-level variant with a smaller battery pack the prices are expected to start from around 28 lakh (ex-showroom).

In terms of features, the entry-level Atto 3 is expected to borrow features from the outgoing model such as a rotating infotainment screen, a digital cluster, a panoramic sunroof, an electronically powered tailgate, electrically powered and heated ORVMs, powered front seats, adaptive LED headlamps, multi-colour ambient lighting, Keyless entry and go with NFC card function, air filter, wireless charging 360-degree camera and much more.
