Watch: Liquor flows at event to celebrate Karnataka BJP candidate's LS win

NELAMANGALA (BANGALORE RURAL): Videos of hundreds of people being given bottles of beer and whisky at a programme organised by BJP’s Nelamangala unit to thank voters for electing former health minister K Sudhakar as MP from Chikkabalapur were widely shared on social media.

The programme was allegedly organised on agricultural land belonging to former minister and JD(S) leader HD Revanna at Bavikere village near Nelamangala.R Ashoka, leader of the opposition, Sudhakar and legislator Deeraj Muniraju, among others, were present.
A source said 150 cases of beer and 50 cases of whisky were distributed among voters. They were also given a non-veg meal.
A BJP functionary said liquor was distributed to “keep voters happy”.
