Coimbatore International Airport receives bomb threat email

COIMBATORE: An unidentified individual sent a bomb threat via email to Coimbatore International Airport on Monday morning.
The bomb detection and disposal squad along with sniffer dog units from the Central Industrial Security Force started a thorough search within the airport premises.
Teams from the Coimbatore City Police also arrived to expand the search area beyond the airport grounds.
Security measures were promptly heightened, temporarily restricting access to the airport as authorities worked to ensure the safety of passengers and staff.
