JIND: In a tragic incident during an ongoing encounter between the Indian army and terrorists in Kulgam, Jammu and Kashmir, a soldier from Narwana in Jind has been martyred.
The martyred soldier, Pradeep Nain, the only son of his parents, was a resident of Jajanwala village in Narwana town of Haryana's Jind district.
Pradeep had joined the army in 2015 and got married in 2022.
He is survived by his parents and pregnant wife.
A pall of gloom has descended on the entire family after hearing this shocking news. His family, including his parents and wife, are in deep shock.
Pradeep was the only son of his parents, and his wife has been hospitalized due to the shock of his martyrdom. The entire village is mourning the loss of the 27-year-old beloved soldier, who was known for his simple and gentle nature.
His body will soon be brought to the village, where the brave heart will be cremated with full army honors, said army officials who reached the village to meet his parents.

Reportedly, the encounter took place in the early hours of Saturday in the Kulgam area, where security forces were conducting a search operation. During the operation, terrorists opened fire on the soldiers, resulting in the martyrdom of Pradeep Nain.
As soon as this news spread in the village, villagers gathered around his home on Sunday and made an effort to pacify the family members.
Janak Singh Nain, the village Sarpanch, said that the entire village feels proud of Pradeep's martyrdom. It was his dream from childhood to join the Indian army.
Therefore, he used to salute any army personnel whenever he found them on his way. He was very social in the village, and the army was a passion for him, he added.
