MUMBAI: The landslide between Vasind and Khadavali stations in the Shahpur region of the Mumbai division of railways has resulted in several trains heading towards Mumbai either being terminated, halted at various stations in the Bhusawal division, or being diverted by other routes.
According to Divisional Railway Manager Ity Pandey, after the railways received an alert about the landslide in the affected region, the trains were ordered to be stopped at the nearest railway station to minimize inconvenience to passengers.

Currently, the Mumbai-bound Rajdhani Express has been stopped at Nashik Road railway station, and buses are being arranged for the onward journey of the passengers towards Mumbai.
The Sewagram Express has been terminated at Devlali Railway Station, and the railways have arranged for about 20 buses to transport the passengers towards Mumbai.
The Panchavati Express towards Mumbai has also been terminated at Igatpuri railway station, and the empty rake is being brought back to Manmad.
As many as eleven trains have been diverted by the railway authorities so far. Trains coming from the Mumbai region and going to Mumbai have been diverted via the Vasai, Nandurbar to Bhusawal route, or even via the Manmad, Daund, Pune route in both directions.
