Junaid Khan, who made his big Bollywood debut with Siddharth P Malhotra's 'Maharaj', recently revealed that he did not discuss the film much with his dad Aamir Khan.
Junaid mentioned to PTI that there wasn't extensive discussion with his father about the film. He clarified that the film isn't his father's project, and given his father's busy schedule, Sid and Adi showed him the film.
Junaid stated that his father liked the film and provided some suggestions, some of which were incorporated. He added that his father generally offers advice when asked specific questions but doesn't interfere much in their lives, preferring to let them be independent.

Junaid further discussed his debut film and its perceived conventionality. He mentioned that YRF is a major banner and Sid sir personally wanted him for the role. Having been involved in Mumbai theatre since 2017, Junaid didn't categorize the opportunity as either conventional or unconventional, emphasizing the inherently dramatic nature of the story.

When questioned about whether he considered a romantic role safer, Junaid replied that producers and directors perhaps didn't envision him in romantic dramas. He noted that he takes on the work offered to him, emphasizing the wide-ranging nature of film as a medium where there's no guaranteed safety in any particular genre.
