'Munjya' actor Abhay Verma reveals he rejected Irrfan Khan starrer 'Angrezi Medium': 'I regrets it a lot...'
Abhay Verma, who is riding high on the success of 'Munjya', recently expressed regret over not having the opportunity to co-star with Irrfan Khan in the late actor's final film.
Abhay expressed deep regret about missing the chance to appear alongside Irrfan Khan in his last film, 'Angrezi Medium'. He considered it a significant missed opportunity, wishing he could have shared even a single frame with the legendary actor.

The young actor explained that he turned down 'Angrezi Medium' because the role offered to him was relatively minor.
Instead, he opted for another project where he would have a leading role and more significant screen time, although that film did not materialize in the end.

Munjya Star Sharvari Wagh: John Abraham Is My Mentor For Action In Life

Before 'Munjya', he portrayed roles such as a terrorist in 'The Family Man', a transgender person in 'Safed', and a patriot in 'Ae Watan Mere Watan'. However, it was 'Munjya' that brought him significant recognition. Reflecting on his journey, he mentioned the impactful lesson he learned from 'The Family Man' about the enduring power of honesty in one's work. Despite this, he expressed disappointment with the reception of 'Safed'.

Following the completion of 'Munjya', Abhay took a significant risk, waiting one and a half years to assess its reception before making further career decisions. During this period, he relied on savings, sacrificing personal luxuries like dining out. Despite feeling some suffocation in recent months, he found the wait worthwhile as it saved him from almost abandoning his aspirations.
'Munjya', starring Sharvari Wagh and Abhay Verma, released on June 7 to widespread acclaim. The film has garnered praise from both fans and critics and has been performing exceptionally well at the box office, surpassing the Rs 100 crore mark in earnings.
