Prabhas's highly anticipated sci-fi epic, "Kalki 2898 AD," has taken the box office by storm upon its release, setting new records and captivating audiences worldwide.
The Nag Ashwin 's magnum opus starring Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Saswata Chatterjee and Kamal Haasan, has already earned Rs 300 crore worldwide at the box office. Additionally, it appears to have set a new record with its ticket sales on a booking platform.

According to the latest report by News18, fans observed that as of 1 PM, "Kalki 2898 AD" had sold over 90,000 tickets. At the time of reporting, BookMyShow revealed that 93.77 thousand tickets were sold within an hour, setting a new record. Previously, Shah Rukh Khan’s "Jawan" held the record, having allegedly sold 86,000 tickets in less than an hour back in September.
According to Sacnilk.com, "Kalki 2898 AD" collected Rs 67.1 crore net across languages in India on Saturday, Day 3. This brings the film's total collection in India to approximately Rs 220 crore in just three days.
Internationally, 'Kalki 2898 AD' has garnered Rs 267.5 crore nett, pushing its worldwide gross to an estimated total of 487.5 crore. By the end of its first weekend, numbers are expected to cross the Rs 500 crore mark.
The trailer of the ambitious film, shows Prabhas as Bhairava, working alongside the AI-enabled car BU-JZ-1 or Bujji, and Deepika Padukone, taking on evil forces. Amitabh Bachchan plays Ashwatthama while Kamal Haasan is cast in a negative character.
The film also stars Disha Patani, Pasupathy, Shobana, Anna Ben, and others. SS Rajamouli, Vijay Deverakonda, Ram Gopal Varma, Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur play cameos in the film. 'Kalki 2898 AD' was released in multiple languages on June 27.
