Sonakshi Sinha wears mother Poonam Sinha's saree and jewellery for her wedding to Zaheer Iqbal: Reports

Actress Sonakshi Sinha made for one stunning bride as she dressed up in shades of ivory and gold for her wedding to longtime boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal on Sunday, June 23.
For the big day, reports state that the beautiful bride opted for a deeply personal ensemble for the big day. It has been reported that Sona opted to wear her mother, Poonam Sinha's wedding saree and also opted to wear pieces from her collection on the big day.
According to IndiaToday, Sonakshi’s ivory saree, intricately embroidered and rich in sentimental value, was originally worn by her mother on her own wedding to Shatrughan Sinha around 44 years ago. Complementing her traditional attire, Sonakshi also chose matching jewellery from her mother's collection.

The couple exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony, with Sonakshi looking radiant in the upcycled saree and Zaheer complimenting her in a white embroidered kurta-pyjama. Later, at the wedding reception, Sonakshi dazzled in a red Banarasi silk saree, while Zaheer stuck to white and gold colour tones.
The first images of their wedding were shared on Instagram by the newlyweds, who explained the significance of their wedding date. "On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017), in each other's eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today, that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs... leading up to this moment... where with the blessings of both our families and both our gods... we are now man and wife," they wrote.

They added, "Here’s to love, hope, and all things beautiful with each other, from now until forever."
The wedding reception turned into a star-studded affair, featuring notable celebrities such as Kajol, Salman Khan, Rekha, Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Huma Qureshi, Saira Banu, among many others. DJ Ganesh, who was the performer at the event, mentioned that nearly 1,000 guests were invoted for the reception.
