The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) has intensified its probe into the money laundering allegations surrounding the Malayalam movie 'Manjummel Boys.'

Manjummel Boys | Song - Thaai Manam

'Manjummel Boys,' which garnered immense popularity and reportedly collected over Rs 220 crore at the box office, found itself embroiled in legal troubles following a cheating complaint. Siraj Valiyathara Hameed, a major investor in the movie, filed the complaint alleging that the production company reneged on a promise to grant him a 40% share of the profits.
As per Hameed's allegations, despite his substantial investment, the producers failed to honor their financial commitments, prompting him to seek legal recourse. The ED's involvement stems from suspicions of black money transactions within the film industry, a concern that has led to broader investigations and raids.
Meanwhile, ‘Manjummel Boys’ directed by Chidambaram, turned out to be a huge success and the movie received a good reception from the audiences. Starring Soubin Shahir, Sreenath Bhasi, Jr. Lal, and many others in the lead, ‘Manjummel Boys’ is hailed as one of the best survival thrillers ever made in Mollywood. The music score was done by Sushin Shyam.
