Vijay Sethupathi's 'Maharaja' to make its digital premiere next month!

Vijay Sethupathi's 50th film 'Maharaja' is an important and very successful film in the actor's career. Directed by Nithilan Swaminathan, the movie stars Vijay Sethupathi, Anurag Kashyap, Mamta Mohandas, Natty Nataraj and Abhirami in lead roles with Ajaneesh Loknath composing the music for the film. The movie has grossed over Rs 85 crore at the box office since its release in theatres on June 14.
The film has received a lot of positive reviews and it has been critically acclaimed.With over 15 days run in the theatres, the movie is expected to gross Rs 100 crore at the box office during its theatrical run as it is only inches away. News 18 reported that the film will be out on the international OTT platform on July 19. However, the official announcement is yet to be made.
'Maharaja' apart from Tamil Nadu performed well in Telangana and Kerala. Vijay Sethupathi travelled to Hyderabad and Thiruvananthapuram to meet his fans and share his gratitude as they made his film succeed. During the film's success meet, Vijay Sethupathi said that the film has been widely recognised and said that he was extremely happy and overwhelmed with the response it has received.
On the work front, Vijay Sethupathi has quite a few projects in the pipeline that include 'Viduthalai 2', 'Gandhi Talks', 'Ace', 'Train' and 'RC 16' and a yet to be titled film with Ram Gopal Varma that are in different stages of production.
