Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal moves high court against CBI arrest
NEW DELHI: Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has moved Delhi high court against his arrest by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in Excise Policy case. He has also challenged the trial court order of June 26 which sent him to 3 days Custodial Remand to CBI.
The Rouse Avenue Court of Delhi on Saturday ordered chief minister Arvind Kejriwal to judicial custody until July 12 in connection with a CBI case related to irregularities in his government's excise policy.

The Vacation Judge Sunena Sharma sent Arvind Kejriwal to 14-day judicial custody following the CBI's request.
Kejriwal was brought before the court after the conclusion of his three-day custodial interrogation. The CBI had taken Kejriwal into custody in connection with alleged corruption related to his government's excise policy. This arrest comes after Kejriwal's earlier detention by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on March 21 in a money-laundering case linked to the now-withdrawn excise policy. Although a trial court initially granted him bail, the Delhi high court subsequently stayed that decision.
