Telugu Hanuman Jayanti is going to be celebrated on Dashami Tithi of Krishna Paksha in the month of Jyestha. This festival is celebrated to commemorate the birth anniversary of Lord Hanuman. According to the Telugu Calendar, Telugu Hanuman Jayanti is being celebrated today i.e., on June 1, 2024 and this day is mainly celebrated in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Telugu Hanuman Jayanti holds an immense religious significance and people celebrate this day to honour Lord Hanuman. It is believed that Lord Hanuman was born on Dashami Tithi of Krishna Paksha in Jyestha Month. This is one of the major festivals of Hindus which is celebrate by a large number of devotees with immense joy and happiness. According to Hindu Calendar, Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated during Chaitra Month and as per Telugu Calendar, Telugu Hanuman Jayanti occurs during Jyestha Month. Telugu Hanuman Jayanti is mainly celebrated in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Devoteeds worship Lord Hanuman on this auspicious day and seek blessings of the Lord. Hanuman Ji was born to Mata Anajani and Kesari. He was naughty in his childhood and once he swallowed Sun by mistake as he thought that it was sweet fruit. Lord Hanuman ji is believed to own Ashta Siddhi and Nava Nidhi. He is among Ashta Chiranjeevis who is still present on earth as he is the Rudra Avtar of Lord Shiva.
Lord Hanuman is always remembered as an ardent devotee of Prabhu Shri Ram and it is believed that he is always busy in his duty and chanting Ram Ram. He is called by many names such as Maruti Nandan, Anjanaye, Bajrangbali, Pawan Putra Hanuman, Sundar (Mata Anjani used to call him by this name in his childhood).

Telugu Hanuman Jayanti 2024: Rituals
1. Wake up early in the morning and take holy bath.
2. Light a diya with desi ghee in front of Lord Hanuman Idol.
3. Offer flowers or garland, fruits, sweet paan and bhog prasad.
4. Chant Hanuman Chalisa.
5. Visit temple and offer chola, sindoor, jasmine oil and flag.
6. Offer coconut also along with prasad.
7. Seek blessings of Lord Hanuman and distributing Hanuman Chalisa or Sundar Kand book to devotees is considered meritorious.
