M.A.N.T.I.S.

In the first of two parts; a brilliant; wheelchair-bound scientist; Dr. Miles Hawkins (Carl Lumbly); invents a form of exo-skeleton called the Mechanically Augmented Neuro Transmitter System (M.A.N.T.I.S.) that turns him into a superhero and gives him the ability to fight the crime wave that is engulfing his city.

In the second of two parts; a brilliant; wheelchair-bound scientist; Dr. Miles Hawkins (Carl Lumbly); invents a form of exo-skeleton called the Mechanically Augmented Neuro Transmitter System (M.A.N.T.I.S.) that turns him into a superhero and gives him the ability to fight the crime wave that is engulfing his city.

The MANTIS (Carl Lumbly) has to fight with a businessman who is trying to get hold of a deadly virus; which was meant to be destroyed days ago; and who is attempting to sell it to North Korea.

Dr. Hawkins (Carl Lumbly) starts a weapons turn-in program; only to have the weapons stolen by a band of pirates.

Several youths involved in an experiment focusing on mind augmentation receive a remarkable increase in their intelligence. However; when the drug they are taking induces the teens to follow some of their more primitive instincts; they embark on a series of violent and dangerous escapades; and it's up to the MANTIS (Carl Lumbly) to save them and their victims.

As the MANTIS (Carl Lumbly) becomes reacquainted with his former girlfriend; Miriam Basuto (guest star Gay Thomas); he discovers she is the target of an international assassin.

The strength of the MANTIS (Carl Lumbly) is put to the ultimate test when Hawkins has to stop a combat robot from completing its mission--killing innocent people.

When the MANTIS (Carl Lumbly) uncovers an organization which runs underground; to-the-death bloodsport matches; he helps a man who is forced to participate (Eric Allan Kramer).

When an organization called the Yakuza kidnaps a mafia princess to gain control of a new sports arena; the MANTIS (Carl Lumbly) must fight a samurai warrior to free her.

When a federal agent (John D'Aquino) is assigned to hunt down the MANTIS; he believes there is a connection between the MANTIS and Dr. Hawkins (Carl Lumbly).

The MANTIS (Carl Lumbly) must thwart the efforts of a shady real estate developer trying to acquire property cheaply by using a young boy that can start fires with his mind.

While trying to prevent crime lord Solomon Box (guest star Andrew Robinson) from controlling the city; Hawkins (Carl Lumbly) tries to control his rage against those who permanently disabled him.

The Port Columbia police force; under the direction of Solomon Box (guest star Andrew Robinson); continues its attempt to hunt down the MANTIS.

When Savage (Christopher Gartin) is kidnapped by strange men from another dimension; Miles (Carl Lumbly) and John (Roger Rees) must save him...with a little help from the MANTIS; of course.

The MANTIS (Carl Lumbly) is mysteriously thrown into the future and finds Port Columbia governed by a computer; and his friends Stonebrake; Maxwell and Savidge (Roger Rees; Galyn Gorg; Christopher Gartin) in hiding.

MANTIS (Carl Lumbly) must stop a genius (guest star Peter Frechette) who was disfigured by his four business partners (and now has to wear a mask) who seeks revenge.

When a marine biologist (guest star Cec Verrell) genetically alters herself in an attempt to create an amphibian race through genetic manipulation; she tries to make Miles (Carl Lumbly) a part of her plans.

MANTIS (Carl Lumbly) must defeat a DNA clone which arch-criminal Dr. Michael Angelides (Vincent Schiavelli) created to obtain research from a controversial past project. Guest star: Malcolm Stewart.

A condemned man (guest star Gary Graham) is executed; but after using a device; his consciousness somehow escapes and exists in the electric current. The MANTIS (Carl Lumbly) must stop him when he starts hunting down those that put him in prison.

Hawkins and Stonebrake (Carl Lumbly; Roger Rees) have to figure out a way to reverse the effects of a magician (guest star Luca Bercovici) using chemical hypnosis to control people's minds. Samaria Graham also guest stars.

The MANTIS (Carl Lumbly) must stop B.B. Rantzer (guest star Curtis Armstrong); who is seeking revenge against the city of Port Columbia after an explosion renders him invisible and his wife dead.

The Men in Black return to destroy the MANTIS (Carl Lumbly) and Port Columbia's leaders using their latest weapon.

Stonebrake's (Roger Rees) experiment with a DNA hologram turns into a total disaster when an electrical accident causes the hologram of an ancient druid to materialize. Now that he is back; the druid goes on a killing spree and MANTIS (Carl Lumbly) is called upon to stop him.

A fateful crash landing in a remote forest leads the MANTIS (Carl Lumbly) and his friends to an encounter with a ravenous Tyrannosaurus. With the safety of his loved ones at stake; Miles may have to make the sacrifice all heroes must to end the monster's rampage.
