Director of Fundraising Summary:

The Director of Fundraising is responsible for upholding the Company's brand image and providing exceptional partnership to all internal and external stakeholders.

Relying on proven networking and relationship-building skills, you must cultivate operational business growth by exceeding pre-established goals, emphasizing the fundraising value proposition, and regularly engaging with new/existing Club Partners.

This role requires high ownership, intrinsic motivation, initiative, expertise in sales or fundraising, enthusiasm, business acumen, and interpersonal skills.

Effective communication with clients and internal team members is crucial for success in this position in addition to operating with integrity and respect.

Travel Requirements approx. 25% of the time.

General Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrating a proven track record of meeting fundraising goals and sales quotas, building sustainable community partnerships, and fostering heightened brand awareness,
  • Driving sales support and accountability to optimize the overall performance of the Fundraising Account Representative and Sales personnel,
  • Serving as a principal contributor to sourcing and closing TEAM BUTTER® Club Partnerships,
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop dynamic and innovative marketing strategies geared toward attracting new partnerships,
  • Reporting on key metrics and preparing sales forecasts,
  • Recommending scalable solutions to maximize business development,
  • Executing superior customer service and communication techniques,
  • Serving as a fundraising account manager, business development strategist, and sales leader,
  • Building and maintaining relationships across a wide spectrum of internal and external stakeholders,
  • Understanding the unique challenges of our customers and providing resources to maximize fundraising program success,
  • Representing the TEAM BUTTER® brand by embodying the company's values daily, including excellent customer service, self-accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration,
  • Approaching market demands with a positive, “can-do” mindset, and
  • Completing all assigned tasks and projects as assigned and in coordination with the Executive Management Team.

Required Skills & Characteristics:

  • Self-motivated; demonstrated grit; works well with little to no direction.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking, strategic planning, and analytics skills.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other related industry (CRM) technology.
  • Strong influence, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
  • 3-5+ years prior fundraising or sales experience required; 5-7+ years preferred.
  • BONUS POINTS: Experience as a Sales Representative or Territory Account Manager within competitive virtual fundraising organization preferred.
  • 1-3 years of senior- or director-level leadership experience required.
