(4/5) The Ultimate Instagram Interview 🎙️

Instagram 's Chief, Adam Mosseri, sat down for an in-depth interview talking all things Instagram, insights, algorithms, and creator monetization.

What you will learn in the interview:

  • Video Content Dominance: Instagram's focus on video content is significant, with more than half of the time spent on the app involving videos. This shift is aimed at creating a participatory experience different from platforms like TikTok and YouTube.
  • Algorithm Insights: Post reach is heavily influenced by how often content is shared privately, with "sends" per reach being a critical metric. This aligns with Instagram's strategy to encourage private engagement.
  • Creator Monetization: Instagram prioritizes supporting creators over publishers, focusing on smaller creators and enhancing monetization opportunities to keep them engaged on the platform.
  • Healthier Content: Instagram is aiming to promote "healthier" content by prioritizing posts that are shared with friends or groups, as opposed to content meant for broader public consumption.
