The city of Liuzhou is in one of China’s poorest provinces. But as part of Beijing’s “Made In China 2025” industrial strategy, it is now home to EV car plants for five major automakers, after putting investment and incentives into electric vehicles and by pushing local industry to expand production and infrastructure. CNBC's Eunice Yoon reports from Liuzhou on the city's meteoric rise.
