Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers.

Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences.

Constructs forecasts, recommendations and strategic/tactical plans based on business data and market knowledge.

Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements.

May provide consultation to users and lead cross-functional teams to address business issues.

May directly produce datasets and reports for analysis using system reporting tools.

May be internal operations-focused or external client-focused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and outsourcing functions.

What you'll be doing

Business Intelligence Analysts transform data into insights that drive business value using data analytics, data visualization, and data modeling techniques and technologies. They turn data into critical information and knowledge that can be used to make sound business decisions.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
 Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers.
 Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in relevant datasets to locate influences.
 Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements.
 Define, develop, enhance and track metrics via PowerBI Dashboards and automated Excel
 Ability to communicate well with all levels both in written and verbal communication

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:
 Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
 Strong Excel skills are an absolute necessity.
 Strong PowerBI skills a necessity.
 SQL Query, general SQL usage is a key skill used daily
 DAX experience/knowledge is very helpful
 Python scripting is highly valued
 PowerAutomate experience/knowledge is a plus
 Detail-oriented
 Desire to learn new things, ability to deal with fast pace and changing priorities

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:
 Relevant Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
 Relevant certifications could include:

 https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/credentials/certifications/power-bi-data-analyst-associate/

Required Experience:
 Demonstrated experience working in an analytics capacity
 Demonstrated experience working SQL
 Experience with creation of PowerBI reporting and dashboards from various data sources
 Experience producing Excel-based reporting

Your career here within Business Insights at NTT, Ltd., is about stretching yourself and taking on progressively more difficult tasks and projects. During the first few weeks of this role, the candidate will be working closely with other team members. Attentiveness during knowledge transfer is key, as a great deal of our more informal training is on-the-job training and team assignments. As Business Insights is a small team environment, the applicant must be a team player.

Additionally, with the Hyderabad India location, this will start (and possibily remain) as a second shift position. E.G. The shift starts in India's afternoon and ends in the evening. Specific hours are negotiable after initial training period is completed. Some overlap with standard US hours will be necessary.
