Project Scope

This project involves migrating from SVN to Git. We require a candidate who has recently completed such a migration at an enterprise level.

Prerequisites

SVN Environment Details:
 Access to the current SVN server and repositories.
 Documentation of the SVN server configuration and version.
 Inventory of all SVN repositories, including size, activity level, and ownership.
 Information on existing branching strategies and tagging conventions.

Target GitHub Enterprise Environment
 Confirmation of the chosen GitHub Enterprise deployment option (cloud-based or on-premises).
 Access to the. target GitHub Enterprise instance or necessary permissions for its creation.
 Defined user management approach for GitHub Enterprise (e.g., LDAP integration).

Infrastructure And Resources
 Details about the chosen cloud provider and infrastructure resources if migrating SVN to the cloud.
 Access to relevant network and security configurations.
 Sufficient compute and storage resources allocated for the migration process.

Project Management And Communication
 Designated points of contact from Cloud Software Group for project communication and decision-making.
 Established communication channels and collaboration tools (e.g., project management platform).

Candidates should demonstrate a strong understanding of SVN, Git, GitHub Enterprise, and AWS cloud environments, along with the ability to manage stakeholders and communicate effectively throughout the migration process,
