Piping Layout Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
 Develop and design piping layouts for oil and gas projects in compliance with engineering standards and project specifications.
 Interpret and analyze P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), isometric drawings, and orthographic drawings.
 Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, civil, structural, electrical) to ensure integrated project delivery.
 Conduct site visits and surveys to gather data and understand project requirements.
 Optimize piping layouts to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective designs.
 Prepare detailed engineering drawings and documentation for fabrication and construction.
 Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
 Provide technical support and guidance during the construction and installation phases.
 Review vendor drawings and coordinate with suppliers for piping materials and components.
 Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and HAZOP studies.
 Ensure project. deadlines and deliverables are met with high quality.

Qualifications:
 Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
 Proven experience as a Piping Layout Design Engineer in the oil and gas sector.
 Proficiency in using design software such as AutoCAD, PDMS, PDS, or similar.
 Strong understanding of piping systems, materials, and design principles.
 Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards (ASME, API, ANSI, etc.).
 Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
 Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
 Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
 Master's degree in a related field.
 Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
 Experience with 3D modeling software.
 Knowledge of stress analysis and fluid dynamics.
