A coach company is suing an accountant for £1 million over allegations that he paid thousands of pounds to prostitutes amid claims that bosses “didn’t care” how he spent the money.

Mohammed Asif Khan is to have been the “self-styled director of finance” at North of England Coachworks, one of the country’s biggest vehicle body shops.

The 45-year-old father of two is accused of having spent about £160,000 on payments to escorts, including £56,000 to Gemma Massey, who was once reported to have been Britain’s “best-paid porn star”.

Khan admitted in court his “shame” for using company money to pay prostitutes but insisted he was not legally liable for damages as his bosses knew how he was spending the money and were happy with the
