Guardian Angel School (GA) respects the dignity of each individual. The goal of GA is to ensure that all children are given the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to achieve their greatest potential. We strive to create a community of life-long learners.

Guardian Angel School is an on-grounds facility for the exclusive use of DCCH Center residents. GA operates as a separate unit of Beechwood Independent School District.

Because many children we serve have learning deficits and challenges, GA's program is directed toward behavior modification in an educational-oriented setting. Every classroom boasts a special education teacher and child care worker who is familiar with each child's background.

The goals of Guardian Angel School are to help students:

  • Develop a positive self image
  • Experience success
  • Internalize appropriate behavior
  • Acquire a positive attitude toward school and authority
  • Remediate academic deficits

We believe that participation in a social skills group, creativity in the learning process and adequate outlets in the areas of music, arts, physical education, field trips, etc. can help children enjoy the beauty of life, experience success and acquire a sense of personal worth. This will, in turn, spark a love of learning and stimulate an interest in the world about them. We are committed to the development of academically, socially and emotionally successful children.

You can help GA achieve its goals through in-kind donations of:
