🚚 On 1 July 2024, a key road traffic change came into force in Germany: vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tonnes are now subject to #tolls. Here’s what you need to know: 🔸 In most European countries, tolls have been mandatory for vehicles weighing more than 3.5 tonnes. Germany was an exception but it introduced a toll for vehicles over 3.5 tonnes on 1 July. 🔸 Vehicle combinations are only subject to tolls if the towing vehicle has a technically permissible total mass of more than 3.5 tonnes. 🔸 Exemption for craft businesses: Vehicles that transport materials, equipment, machines or handcrafted goods and that are used, manufactured or processed by the company itself are exempt from the #toll. However, this so-called ‘craftsmen's exemption’ only applies if the journeys are not classified as commercial goods transport. Do you have any questions or need more information on the regulation? Today was a special day at UTA Edenred: #Idealday, which sees Edenred group employees immerse themselves in charitable projects. 🤝 The #UTAEdenredteam supported various initiatives, including the Aschaffenburg animal shelter, a day care centre in Hausen and a childcare centre in Kleinostheim. In addition, key rings were made to thank donors of the outpatient children's and youth hospice service in Aschaffenburg and we collected rubbish. Thanks to all the participants for their enthusiasm and team spirit, which is what working at UTA Edenred is all about. 🎉 Yesterday marked our first-ever ‘anniversary breakfast’ to honour longstanding #UTAEdenred employees! 🎉 Over a delicious breakfast and glass of non-alcoholic sparkling wine, we toasted employees who have been with us for 10 to 35 years, with their line managers also present to celebrate this special milestone. Going forward, the event will be held on a quarterly basis. 🥂

This week, two Champ on the Road events were held in Austria. Together with our acceptance points GENOL in Meggenhofen and Master Diesel in Vienna, we celebrated the hard work and dedication of local truck drivers. After refuelling their vehicles, drivers were given free refreshments and practical travel accessories for their daily journeys. A big thank you to the drivers who visited our events. Recent toll development in Europe 🚚 This year’s European #tollreform brings several changes that you should be aware of. The CO2 toll for HGVs from 7.5 tonnes was introduced in Germany on 1 December 2023. An announcement will be made when the regulation comes into force in other EU member states. From 1 July 2024, the HGV #toll will also apply to vehicles over 3.5 tonnes technically permissible maximum mass in Germany.
