Mysuru: Deputy commissioner KV Rajendra had written over a dozen letters to the urban development department regarding the alleged irregularities at the urban body – Muda—including distribution of the alternative sites since 2023.
The deputy commissioner had first brought the issue to notice of authorities in the urban development department in Feb 2023 and since then an average one to two letters have been written to them following complaints of irregularities at the urban body, according to sources.

SUCI condemn scam
Meanwhile, activists of Mysuru District Committee of the Socialist Unity Centre of India (Communist) strongly condemn the alleged scam in the Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) and has demanded judicial inquiry into it, according to Ravi B district secretary, SUCI (C).
While the Communist Party of India members staged a protest near the old DC office, demanding CBI to investigate the case of multi-crore scam alleged to have taken place in Muda. Its district secretary Jagdish Surya and many others participated in the protest.
