Mysuru: Revenue minister Krishna Byre Gowda on Tuesday asked Congress functionaries to approach the party high command if they want any position.
CM Siddaramaiah, KPCC chief DK Shivakumar along with the high command will take appropriate decisions at an appropriate time, he stated.
Speaking to reporters, he said it is not fair to talk about individual aspirants on public forums.
“The high command has patience. But it is observing every development,” he said.
He did not approve of Vishwa Vokkaliga Mahasamsthana mutt seer Chandrashekharanatha Swami for his statement on the CM post during Kempegowda Jayanti celebrations last week. “Today in public life, we have crossed all limits on what to talk, where to talk, why to talk, and how to talk. A religious leader can express his feelings at his mutt, in a press meet, or calling a meeting of people. It was not right to talk like that at a govt event. Mixing politics in a govt event is not right,” he said.
The minister observed that war of words between ministers in public will not serve any purpose.
“People elected us to serve them. If we serve them properly, it will bring a good name to the govt,” he said. tnn
