Director Prasanth Varma has been on top of the headlines the last week after his film 'Hanu Man' made a great success. The mythological Telugu superhero film was released in theaters on January 12, and the film has made more than Rs 200 crore at the box office. The film marked the first installment of his cinematic universe, and he has now announced the sequel to the film, titled 'Jai Hanuman'.
Taking to social media on January 22, the director announced that 'Jai Hanuman' is the sequel to the film and that it will be a pan-Indian project. The new buzz is that the film will have a Bollywood actor in the lead.
Speaking in an interview with Zoom Entertainment, the director revealed that he had a few meetings with actors and said that the film will star big actors, probably from all over the country. He revealed that the film's lead role will be played by a Bollywood star. He also said the discussions are now underway, and he will soon be able to announce all the details regarding the cast of the film.
The scripting work for the film has already begun, and Prashanth Varma said that he has to work on the makeup, look test, and other details to look into it. The director said that he will be casting a big star to make sure because the film involves the sentiments of the entire country, and he also wants to make sure that if the test look is confirmed, he has a Bollywood star who is big in history and who is confident about playing the lead role.
'Hanu Man' stars Teja Sajja in the lead role, and the rest of the cast includes Amritha Aiyer, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Vinay Rai. Prasanth Varma also had plans to shoot his next superhero story titled 'Adhira'.
