Entry/exit of Delhi-Meerut Expressway near Crossings Republik to be restructured

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will restructure the entry/exit on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway to eliminate the need for commuters to drive on the wrong side of the highway. The entry/exit point will be shifted 500 meters towards Lal Kuan, and a new entry point will be created for commuters from Crossings Republik and Greater Noida West. The project is estimated to cost ₹9.6 crore and work is expected to begin soon. The Delhi-Meerut Expressway stretches 59.77 kilometers and has 14 lanes for traffic.

October turns out to be less polluted for Ghaziabad, a first in three years
Ghaziabad residents experienced less pollution in October due to favorable meteorological conditions and local measures under the graded response action plan (Grap). The city had no "very poor" air quality days this October, compared to six in 2022 and four in 2021. The average air quality index (AQI) for October was 195, with a range of 61 to 291. The improvement is attributed to reduced stubble burning activities and penalties imposed on violators. However, environmentalists urge year-round implementation of Grap measures and more monitoring stations.

Boy injured in Friday accident on Yamuna Expressway dies; toll at six
A 10-year-old boy has died from injuries sustained in an accident on the Yamuna Expressway, bringing the death toll to six. The accident occurred when a Maruti Eeco was hit by an unidentified vehicle. Three children were injured and are in critical condition. The police are still searching for the suspect and have checked CCTV footage for leads. It has been discovered that the Eeco was speeding at 120km/hour at the time of the accident, above the speed limit of 100 km/hour on the expressway.
