Actor Tejasswi Prakash, a sensation on social media, was at her candid best as she stepped out with HT City for an exclusive shoot in the heart of Delhi, Connaught Place. She pampered her taste buds with some famous delicacies, and obliged for some fan selfies.
Being the foodie child!
Calling herself a “big fan of food options in Delhi”, the actor gets nostalgic as she visits some famous eating joints. “I had completely forgotten the taste of these yummy delicacies that I tried this time. It was great to embrace the foodie child in me. It’s tough to choose what I loved eating the most, but ending with gol gappe was the best.”
Do you feel connected to Delhi?
Though Prakash is a true-blue Mumbai girl, she shares a deep love for Delhi, as she makes frequent trips here for work. “I just love the vibe here. And it is known not just for its amazing food, but for also being a place that has great people,” she says. Praising Delhiites and their fashion choices, she adds, “I just love the crowd here who take their fashion game so seriously. Delhi has a bit of everything, so I’d call it an all-rounder capital!”

Spoilt for choice when it comes to Delhi food, the actor says it’s a tough choice to pick between the two cities. “You get so much variety in Delhi and with good taste. In Mumbai, you have to be smarter about what to eat where, but here, you will get good food anywhere you go,” she says, adding about the wide roads, “that you only get in see in Delhi. But Mumbai has the lovely beaches — I just love them, and you don’t get that feeling here.”
Best part about the capital
While Prakash doesn’t really shop much in Delhi and mostly goes out to eat, she tells us, “I like how CP has a mix of shopping and food outlets. Kake Da Hotel is my go to place, I just love it, and whenever I come here. I try and go there for sure.” Among other places, she adds, “I shopped from Sarojini Nagar long ago, tried food at Karim’s in Khan market, and partied at Cyber Hub in Gurugram. All these places have a different vibe!”
Once upon a trip to Delhi...
Recalling the time when she had visited Delhi with her family, Prakash says, “It was many years ago, and we covered Delhi and Agra. We explored Red Fort, Qutub Minar and India Gate. They’re such beautiful places. My first ever sooji ka gol gappa was at India Gate. We mostly visited forts and tried local street food. It was a very touristy trip for the whole family.”
