Residents of F-North ward are livid with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) because they feel the civic body does nothing to maintain the roads in their locality. Nikita Sonavane reports.

Residents of F-North ward are livid with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) because they feel the civic body does nothing to maintain the roads in their locality. Areas included in F-North ward are Dadar (Central), Matunga, Sion, Wadala, and King’s Circle. Many of these are low-lying areas, and therefore prone to regular water-logging.

Residents of these localities believe their problems are bound to worsen in the coming days because of the poor quality of pre-monsoon work conducted. Representatives of the ALM, along with HT, visited Sion Circle, and two spots on Dr. Ambedkar Road in Dadar considered as trouble spots by the residents to examine things first hand as part of its monsoon audit.

Sanjay Kurhade, F-North ward officer, he said: “I have taken up the matter with the BMC’s chief engineer and the water department.”
