Hamas' Al-Qassam Brigades released purported footage of strikes conducted in Rafah on Sunday, showing fighters using an anti-tank guided missile to target Israeli vehicles. This marks the first reported use of an ATGM by Hamas in Rafah since October 7, 2023. The clip begins with Al-Qassam monitoring Israeli forces positioned at the Egypt-Gaza border. It depicts the use a variant of the Chinese-developed HJ-8 anti-tank guided missile. An ATGM strike launched at the Israeli Ofek armored personnel carrier achieves a direct hit, causing the vehicle to immediately burst into flames as Israeli forces attempt to escape.
