The Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings, held annually on the banks of Lake Constance in Germany, bring together Nobel Laureates and young researchers from around the globe for lectures, panel discussions and seminars.   At Mars, we believe in the power of scientific research, collaboration and partnerships to address the world's most pressing challenges and complex problems. This week, we're proud to have celebrated Juneteenth with our vibrant Community and Connections Mixer at our Mars Petcare office in Franklin, TN. 🐾 Concluding the second edition of the Healthy Pets Week in our One Mars Office in Milan! 🐶 At Mars, our purpose "A Better World for Pets" isn't just a statement — it's a #commitment we live by every day. The Mars group - represented in Italy by the companies Mars, Royal Canin and AniCura Italy - has been a pioneer in Italy in creating a pet-friendly #workplace environment, driven by our belief that pets enrich our lives and it is our #responsibility to make the spaces we live in, including our workplaces, suitable for them. Our experience has shown tangible #benefits, not only in employee well-being and #motivation but also in enhancing #attractiveness to top talents. This week, in honor of "Take Your Dog to Work Day", we dedicated ourselves to the #health and #well-being of our beloved #dogs and #cats. And all the organized initiatives aimed to donate 1.000 portions of Mars pet food and 1.500 kg of Royal Canin kibbles to #shelters and #kennels across Italy! Throughout the week, we embarked on a comprehensive #Health Journey, focusing on addressing key #behavioral and #nutritional challenges faced by pets and how to best organize travel with them. Our hybrid #Veterinary Corner provided our furry friends with the opportunity for physical check-ups and tailored nutritional recommendations from our expert #veterinarians. As part of our ongoing commitment to the #future, we hosted "Kids in the Office" day, where #children learned how to interact properly with dogs and cats and joined a beautiful demonstration of research dogs from dogs units of AVS ODLJ. We are proud to be pioneers in the field of pet-friendly offices and our mission also involves the will and commitment to #inspire and #engage others. This is why we have created a #toolkit with simple #guidelines for those who want to create a working environment where pets are welcome. Although shelters have a variety of pets to adopt, only 1 in 8 pet owners got their pet from a rescue center. The State of Pet Homelessness Project shows that changing the perception of rescued animals can get far more pets out of shelters and into loving homes.
