Acoustic acts to play three Maidenhead venues for Music on the Move

Exceptional acoustic acts will be performing in a unique free musical event that will see them playing in rotation across two venues in Maidenhead town centre in a single afternoon.

Music on the Move, which takes place on Sunday, is the final event in the Maidenhead Festival Fringe programme to showcase local musical talent in the run-up to the main festival on the weekend of July 20-21 in Kidwells Park.

Acoustic acts will be performing a 25-minute set at both Off the Tap and A Hoppy Place.

Performing a mix of popular covers and original material will be five accomplished local acts: Mouth Almighty, the Sepia Tone Folk Collective, Helena and Steve, the Amp Cats, and Sam Holdford.

Music on the Move runs from 12.30pm to 3.05pm (with an extended session at A Hoppy Place until 3.50pm) with Mouth Almighty opening at Off The Tap and Sam Holdford getting things started at The Hoppy Place.

Festival chairman Lisa Hunter said: “After the resounding success of last year's inaugural event we’re thrilled to be bringing back Music on the Move even bigger and better. The musicians are all amazing and it will be a great afternoon of relaxing music.

“Each set they play will be a little different so audiences have the choice of settling in at a single venue to enjoy all five acts or follow their favourite between the two pubs. Come along, grab a drink and enjoy the fantastic talent we have in Maidenhead.”
