Amazonian Dream knows his way around Windsor racecourse better than most horses, writes Dave Wright.

The five-year-old trained by Rod Millman has raced there 12 times in two years, including the last six. His latest appearance came on Monday and it was a winning one.

He landed the Fitzdares Sprint Series Handicap qualifier in the hands of Oisin Murphy.

Owned by Great Western Racing, Amazonian Dream (7/1) was following up his success at the Thames-side track in May.

"He likes it here," said Murphy, who went on to complete a double with Weston Court (11/4) in the Download The Racing App 43 Now Handicap.

The Ron Harris-trained three-year-old was following up this first win of his career at Bath a week earlier.

Murphy, who is well clear in the Jockeys Championship, is the leading rider at Windsor this season with 12 victories.

The track's trainers list is headed by John & Thady Gosden but they failed to add to their seven wins this year when The King's General, owned by the King and Queen, just lost out to Seek And Destroy (5/2 favourite), ridden by Hector Crouch, in the Safety Net Strength In Strides Maiden Stakes.

Tom Marquand had to work extra hard in the closing stages to get Andaleep (6/1) home in the Download The Fitzdares App Now Handicap; half a length ahead of Wisper.

The Colenko Fast Track Handicap was won by Law Of Average (4/1) with Joey Haynes riding for his partner, Chelsea Banham.

There was a big upset in the Restricted Maiden Stakes with Balzarini, ridden by Sean Levey and trained by Stuart Williams, winning at 50/1 on only his third start.

After the race had finished, Cieren Fallon was thrown off Nanna Western and taken to hospital for treatment.

There was also an incident before the race won by Weston Court when Kodiac Brave unseated Charlie Bennett and darted down the track, ending up in the car park before being caught.

There had also been an extra meeting at Windsor on Saturday and it proved a successful one for apprentice Sean D Bowen. He rode a double on 33/1 outsider Barafundle Bay in the Sacha's Birthday Apprentice Handicap and 3/1 favourite Notre Maison in the Aitch Sea Jays Memorial Handicap.

There were also two wins for Edward Greatrex and trainer Ralph Beckett with New Chelsea (6/4) and 6/5 favourite Allonsy.
