Carol Burnett reunited with fellow comedy legend Dick Van Dyke at a special handprint ceremony in Burnett's honor at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood on June 20.
The former "Carol Burnett Show" star, 91, preserved her handprints and footprints in wet cement outside the theater alongside those of dozens of other Hollywood legends, including Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe and Cary Grant.
Van Dyke, 98, who co-starred with Burnett on nearly a dozen episodes of her iconic comedy sketch program, which aired from 1967 to 1978 on CBS, was on hand to cheer her on.
The former "Dick Van Dyke Show" star, who was feted in his own handprint ceremony at the theater in 1966, posed with Burnett at the event.
During her speech, Burnett revealed that the honor reminded her of growing up a starstruck youngster in Los Angeles.
"When I was a little girl, I can't begin to count the times that my grandmother and I would walk up here to the Grauman’s Chinese — that's what it was called then — and look at all the footprints and handprints of all these great movie stars," Burnett said in a video shared by The Associated Press.
"Betty Grable was one of my favorites and I remember bending down and putting my hands on her handprints, never dreaming that someday I'd be putting my hands here," she said, pausing for comedic effect, "80 years later."
The comedian also hammed it up during the ceremony by pretending her hands had become stuck in the cement.
Burnett’s current “Palm Royale” co-star Laura Dern, Bob Odenkirk, late-night host Jimmy Kimmel, “Abbott Elementary” star Lisa Ann Walter and former “Saturday Night Live” star Maya Rudolph were also on hand to pay tribute to her.
Kimmel later shared a photo on Instagram that showed him posing with Burnett and others.
"Thank you Carol Burnett for giving me the honor of honoring you at your exceptionally well-deserved and long overdue handprint & footprint ceremony this morning in Hollywood," he wrote.
