Man arrested in Pune for making hoax calls

The accused dialled the Pune Police Control Room’s number on Friday at around 1:44 pm and informed them that bomb blast would take place at around 5 pm at Gateway of India in Mumbai, and Bandra, Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad and Shivajinagar railway stations

More than 15K cops to man city streets on New Year’s Eve

Over 15,000 policemen will be deployed in Mumbai on New Year's Eve to prevent any untoward incidents. This includes patrols, CCTV monitoring, and strict action against traffic violations and drunk driving. Heavy police presence will be seen at popular locations and beaches in the city.
