SIT formed to probe assault on Sikh man in Kaithal

The SIT will be headed by a deputy superintendent of police rank officer, officials said, adding that the CCTV footage of the area where the alleged incident took place was being looked at to trace the accused who are yet to be identified.

Cabinet nod to Haryana Police rules

An official spokesperson said that the police personnel of Indian Reserve Battalions in the rank of head constables, C-1 constables and exemptee head constables/ constables shall be given an option to merge in district police (general cadre) after completion of 15 years of satisfactory service, including completion of their Phase-I and Phase-II training.

Haryana launches initiative to train cops on new criminal laws

The new laws are Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita-2023 (BNS 2023), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita-2023 (BNSS 2023), and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam-2023 (BSA 2023)

Presiding over a meeting here, the chief secretary said a significant number of field officers are already undergone training on applying these new criminal laws at various police training centres across the state.
