In July 2023, New England Patriots player Calvin Anderson arrived at Newton Wellesley Hospital's Emergency Department with a fever of 105 degrees and a life-threatening case of Malaria. Thanks to the dedication and expertise of our care team, Calvin received life-saving treatment and was able to make a full recovery. On May 30, Calvin came back to personally thank the physicians and staff who saved his life. As a token of his appreciation, Calvin signed Patriots jerseys, featuring his number, 76, for each member of the care team.
