With Social Value now accounting for 10% of pretty much all public sector bids then a constant theme across the SME community has been that they are at a material disadvantage when bidding against much larger players who can call on huge SV credentials and examples that are simply beyond an SME to match. HMG is open to listening to these concerns and this survey is a great example so I would urge anyone in a #tech #sme to complete it so that procurement policy can be shaped to level the playing field At Cyberfort we are proud of all our social value credentials including striving to address #neurodiversity inclusion in our employee base but equally we have limits as to what we can achieve in the SV sphere. Thanks to techUK for acting as the conduit into HMG procurement on a number of fronts and this is certainly a very key one.

🗣 It's time to have your say! 🎯techUK Public Sector Tech SME Survey: Social Value in Central Government Contracts 🎯 🌎 Social value has been a requirement in public sector procurement since 2013, and a determinant of public procurement outcomes since 2020. According to techUK’s Improving Social Value in Technology Procurement report that was published in November 2023, great progress has been made by central government in its understanding of how best to procure data and technology solutions, however there is concern about how the policy for social value is operating within central government technology procurement.🌎 ⚡ techUK is trying to understand the experience SMEs go through in responding to social value questions and implementing social value deliveries in central government contracts. This survey seeks to gather the views of tech SMEs operating within central government to find out their challenges, concerns, and any possible advantages they have in addressing social value in procurements.⚡ Please click the link below to fill out the survey https://lnkd.in/eHeJD9ia Thank you in advance, your views are extremely valuable. _________ Heather Cover-Kus Ellie Huckle Annie Collings Austin Earl Ella Gago-Brookes #techUKCentralGov #SME #Collaboration #TechCommunity #SocialValue #PublicSector _________ 🌱 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 🌍 https://ow.ly/t1Xe50R1WwG

Thank you for sharing this important information. It's indeed a challenge for SMEs to compete on social value metrics. We also face similar hurdles and appreciate any opportunity to make our voices heard. Participating in such surveys can truly help shape a more balanced procurement policy. How do you see the impact of these policies evolving over the next few years?
