The Convention Secretariat is the entity responsible for providing secretariat support to the Conference of the Parties of the WHO FCTC and the Meeting of the Parties to the Protocol to Eliminate Illicit Trade in Tobacco Products.

The Convention Secretariat also supports the Parties of both treaties to implement the treaties’ provisions the decisions, and guidelines adopted by their governing bodies.
