'Kalki 2898 AD' success delays release of THIS Indrans-starrer Malayalam film

The producers explained that the postponement was due to the ongoing screening of May releases and the positive reception of June's films, which are still occupying many theater screens. Additionally, the multilingual blockbuster 'Kalki 2898 AD' is currently dominating cinema halls across the state, leaving limited availability for new releases like 'Kanakarajyam.'

'Kanakarajyam,' starring Indrans and Murali Gopy in lead roles, has encountered a slight delay in its theatrical release schedule.

Originally set to release on July 5, the family drama will now hit screens a day later, on July 6, due to unforeseen technical issues cited by the film's producers.

Kanakarajyam - Official Teaser

Explaining the postponement, the producers attributed it to the continued screening of some May releases and the favorable reception of June's films, which currently occupy a significant number of theatre screens.
Notably, the multilingual blockbuster 'Kalki 2898 AD' is currently dominating the state's cinema halls, leaving limited availability for new releases like 'Kanakarajyam.'
'Kanakarajyam' is a narrative loosely inspired by real-life incidents, particularly revolving around a notable jewellery theft case that unfolded in Alappuzha back in 2005. On the last day, the makers unveiled the teaser for the film which promises a heartwarming family drama movie.
The film promises a compelling storyline with Indrans and Murali Gopy anchoring the narrative, supported by a talented ensemble cast including Leona Lishoy, Unni Raj, Sreejith Ravi, Jolly Chirayath, Dinesh Prabhakar, and Ramesh Kottayam. Directed by Sagar, the film is anticipated to offer a blend of drama and intrigue, delving into the complexities of the human experience against the backdrop of a gripping incident.
